It’s here! It’s here! I am so excited to share that it is
here! My wonderful and amazing friend, Rochelle McLean, has opened the first
freestanding birth center in North County San Diego: Babies in Bloom Birth and Wellness Center.
A freestanding birth center, according to the American Association of Birth
Centers, “is a homelike facility…with a program of care designed in the
wellness model of pregnancy and birth.” The Babies in Bloom Birth and Wellness
Center boasts two amazingly-lovely homelike suites with freestanding tubs and interior
designer décor that would be seen in hotels and model homes. Here are some lovely

peak last week. The Grand Opening celebration is on July 12 from 9am to 5pm,
and will have many demos and giveaways.
The birth center is in addition to the already successfully
Babies in Bloom Boutique that is home to many amazing, natural and hand-picked
products as well as host to many classes. Her signature Lactation Lounges are
free support groups where moms and babes are welcome to join in, weigh
baby, ask questions to Ms. McLean, and commune with other breastfeeding
mothers.
Ms. McLean is already a well-respected International Board Certified
Lactation Consultant and Child Birth Educator, and has been passionately
working with pregnant women and new families since 1999. She opened the doors of
Babies in Bloom in late 2003 from her home, where it has bloomed into the facility
that you see today.
